Today we are tackling one of the hardest things for me to accept, the fact that I am chosen. Holley Gerth puts it this way in her book “Fierce-Hearted” that we featured this month: “We are the image bearers of a star-scattering, water-walking, miracle-making God.. We have every right to wield with force and holy wildness all that he has placed within us.” If God has said that I am chosen, who am I to argue with my Creator? I may not feel chosen all the time, and often times the calling of God in your life maybe something hard that you don’t want to do, but embracing your calling is one of the bravest and most courageous things you can do.
For this entry I used the Handmade Modern paints in blood orange and pistachio. I made a few marks across my page starting at the top right hand corner and working across to the bottom left hand corner. I then took a old dry paint brush and used a touch of black heavy body Liquitex paint and made some rough brush marks along the same line of paint. I added some hearts from the Simple Stories Romance collection that we featured this month and a few butterflies. For my title, I used some Illustrated Faith homespun alpha’s in the black eyed pea’s color and the stamp from our featured set this month with the sentiment chosen. Finished it off with a few butterfly stickers and made a tab using the Illustrated Faith Bright and Bold collection yardstick and some washi tape.
